The Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA)
The Australian Institute of Architects (the Institute) is a not-for-profit national professional association for architects established in 1930. The organisation is committed to the advancement of architecture and maintaining architectural education standards by facilitating the Australian architecture program accreditation and recognition procedure in partnership with the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) and the Architects Boards in each State/Territory in
Australia.
The organisation is comprised of a number of specialized areas with chapter offices in each state/territory responsible for managing and delivering local activities and events. At a national level, the Institute has a number of units directly addressing national and international issues.
